Meet your New Health Coach

I am both a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a FASTer Way to Fat Loss ® Coach who works closely with women to improve their lives through healthy eating, exercise and positive lifestyle choices. To achieve complete wellness of body and mind, I use a comprehensive, holistic approach – one that emphasizes nutrition & consumption of whole foods, as well as combining strength training, mindfulness, yoga and pilates. My program supports individuals to make gradual changes that will last a lifetime rather than employing the current fad diets and restrictions. We will work together to set and achieve goals that meet the individual needs of the person and highlight their strengths.

Sheena’s Story

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2007 and quickly became very ill, dependent on anti-inflammatory and steroid medications, unable to work or live a regular lifestyle. I hired a health coach as the inflammation in my body was off the charts and the doctors were trying to convince me to take heavy duty pharmaceutical medications that were proposed as the only solution to heal me. Through working with my coach and an Integrative Medicine practitioner, I was able to identify foods that were causing the inflammation, add in natural supplements and make positive lifestyle changes to embrace whole body wellness.

In 2015, I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  I learned a great deal more about the digestive system, anti-inflammatory foods as well as the many aspects of wellness related to lifestyle that healthy diets alone cannot overcome. Adding regular exercise to my routine, focusing on my spiritual life and finding quiet time to breathe and meditate is  just as important as eating fruits, vegetables and whole foods. Once I was able to create a personalized food and wellness plan for myself, my health and well-being evolved and improved significantly.
